ELIZABETHTOWN, PA (June 6, 2007) – On Monday, May 21 at EAHS, the Elizabethtown Area Music Foundation (EAMF) awarded six scholarships to local seniors for their achievements in the arts. The non-profit organization’s sole purpose is to raise scholarships for these awards.

*Participating in this summer’s EAMF production of State Fair, which raises funds for next year’s scholarships. **Awarded to a student who excels in the area of the arts to include musical theatre, drama, technical theatre or music in his or her post-high school education EAMF annually donates approximately $2500 to these senior scholarships with another $2500 in assistance for underclassmen to attend summer music camps, particularly the Lancaster County Music Camp, which EAMF helped establish. This summer’s biggest fundraiser for the foundation is a production of State Fair, on July 19, 20 & 21 at EAHS, brought to you in part by Messick’s Farm Equipment and Companion Animal Hospital. Several past and present scholarship winners choose to give back to the foundation by participating in the EAMF productions, helping to raise funds for future scholarships. Two of this year’s winners are prime examples. Braydon Hoover, participated in Annie Get Your Gun in 2005 and is playing the principal male lead character of “Pat” this summer. Ashley Mulhollem, another one of this year’s winners, also participated in the Annie Get Your Gun production. Three additional past recipients are volunteering in the cast and crew of State Fair.
